As part of Corporate Social Responsibility, JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited has developed the school library at four underprivileged school nearby the project named Meghna Ideal Kindergarten, Ganganagar Preparatory School, Jhauchar Govt. Primary School and Islampur Primary School. The School Libraries were inaugurated and library materials were handed over on 21st December 2023. The JMPL’s Construction Manager and a team from JMPL were present of the same day. We have handed over 410 books 24 chairs and 12 book shelves to the schools.
The Project will be developed on the 35 acres land at the Meghnaghat Complex of BPDB provided to the Company on a long-term lease under the Land Lease Agreement. The power generated by the Project will be evacuated through the existing 400 kV network of Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB). The Company has secured all necessary approvals and permits and will be commencing construction of the Project shortly.
